Fang Bao (1668-1749), Poem, album leaf

Fang Bao (1668-1749), also known by his zi (courtesy names) Linggao and Fengjiu and his hao (literary name) Wangxi, was a native of Tongcheng, Anhui province. He earned the jinshi (a successful candidate in the imperial examination) degree during the Kangxi reign (1662-1722) and rose to the rank of Vice Minister of Rites. Alongside Yao Nai, he was a foundational figure of The Tongcheng School of Prose. His writings include Notes from Prison(Yuzhong zaji).
