Wang Jian (1598-1677), also known by his zi (courtesy names) Yuanzhao, and his hao (literary names) Xiangbi and Xiang'anzhu, was a native of Taicang, Jiangsu province. He excelled in landscape painting, characterized by sharp brushwork and lush ink tones. A preeminent figure of the Six Great Masters of the Qing Dynasty.
